Collections and Legacies

In recent years, the Swiss National Sound Archives has received various legacies and collections of audio recordings from both private persons and institutions. These consist of materials that are, in their entirety, the artistic and cultural creation of a personality, or reflect a certain era, and for this reason were taken as closed collections.
They are documented and cataloged and are enhanced with biographies, accompanying texts, and visual materials in order to present the particular collection in its context.
