From the outset, the Swiss National Sound Archives encouraged and promoted research in the sound documentation field. The research results are presented in several published reports which can be obtained directly from the Phonotheque.

The Sounds of History
The main stages of Switzerland’s history in the period from 1933 to 1958, evoked by the most significant voices of the country’s old national broadcasting editorial offices: Monte Ceneri, Beromünster and Sottens. The CDs are the natural offspring of the greatest sound recording recovery project ever conducted in Switzerland, the Mésures d'urgences ("emergency measures"), promoted by MEMORIAV in cooperation with the Swiss National Sound Archives and SSR-SRG idée suisse.
