H.C. berichtet, was sie gehört oder gelesen hat über das üble Verhalten der Musiker, die alles Geld mit Trinken vertaten. Sie meint, die müssten solider sein und das Glas in die Hosentasche nehmen und die Flasche in den Bach werfen. Sie berichtet von Musikanten, die alles erhaltene Geld verbraucht hatten und dann zu Fuss heimkehren mussten. Andere hätten aber Sorge getragen und zu Hause eine Kuh dafür gekauft. Als Bauer verdientes Geld halte länger als das eines Bergführers. Sie fragt Romi, was für ihn am Lustigsten war und er meint, wenn aufgespielt werde. H.C. intoniert kurz den Liedvers "Gigeli gizge, Orgeli fizge, Kathrin masch go blase...". Sie fragt beide nach dem Walliser Siebensprung und singt vor "Mach du mir de Siebesprung, mach mer ali siebe, so mach, dass i tanze cha und singe schöni Lieder". Es sei ein sehr schneller Tanz, aber die beiden kennen ihn nicht. H.C. hat im Basler Neujahrsblatt davon gelesen, aber habe keine Ahnung. Es sei ein Tanz zum Johannistag. HC fragt R.G., ob er auch Mundharmonika spiele und er meint, nicht mehr. Da erzählt sie vom Luisli Grand, die das "Giigeli" immer bei sich getragen hatte und vor der Kirche darauf spielte und die Mädchen dazu tanzten. Dann erzählt sie von einer Begegnung mit einem Mann aus dem St. Galler Rheintal und seiner Frau, die Walliserin war. | Riassunto | Marie hätte gerne eine Tonaufzeichnung von ihrem Vater Vrene Battist Blatter auf Band gehabt. Vater hat Radioapparat gekauft, um seine Tänzli zu hören. HC berichtet, dass eine Frau mit schwarzem Kopftuch beim Reportagewagen gefragt hätte, ob sie die "Bändli" kaufen könne; HC hat dem Tontechniker gesagt, er solle es in Bern melden, aber nicht eine Melodie sei ausgestrahlt worden. Vrene Battist Blatter ging zum Heuen und danach ist er gestorben. Damals hatte er noch eine Kuh, jetzt haben die Töchter nur noch Ziegen. Als Vrene Battist sterbenskrank war, sorgten die beiden Töchter und sein Freund Vitus Garbeli für ihn. HC war 1956 bei Vrene Battist (Geiger) und Vitus Garbeli (Hackbrettler). Wenn VB zum Aufspielen ging, hat er die Geige in ein rotkariertes Tuch gewickelt, den Steg umgedreht und so die Geige unter dem Arm getragen. Zu ihrem Repertoire gehörten auch die Tänzli "De Gigeboge" und "De Chäser". Als 18jähriger spielte VB mit Tony Imfeld und Johann Kreuzer zusammen. Als er als 24jähriger einmal in Blitzingen aufspielte, musste er bis zum Bauch im Schnee waten und wurde danach krank. Er spielt auch zusammen mit dem Hackbrettler Franz Mutter und dem Klarinettler Moritz Mutter. Letzterer habe auch Handorgel gespielt und gut gejodelt, habe eine schöne Tenorstimme gehabt. Als sie in Blitzingen am Aschermittwoch spielten, sei der Aufseher Jost so betrunken gewesen, dass die Musikanten bis 6 Uhr morgens aufspielen konnten. Die Musikanten haben 5 Franken (später 10 Franken) erhalten. Als Vrene Battist mit Vitus Garbeli und Ludwig Imfeld an der Fasnacht 1955 in Obergesteln spielten, stimmte die Geige nicht ganz, weil VB keine Stimmpfeife hatte. Vrene Battist Blatter hat mit 29 Jahren eine Marie Jost, Schwester von Gregor Jost, geheiratet. Ludwig Garbeli sagte HC, als sie das erste Mal bei ihm war, dass alle Musikanten miteinander verwandt seien. | Riassunto | Im Oktober (Jahr?) war HC erstmals mit Vrene Battist Blatter, Vitus Garbeli und Ludwig Imfeld in Ulrichen zusammen in oberer Stube der Posthalter- und Wirtsfrau Blatter. Vitus tanzte mit ihr eine Masolke. Hatte neues Hackbrett erhalten von Adolf Walpen aus Grengiols mit vielen Registern. HC hat nur zugehört, schickte später viele Notenblätter, damit Battist Anderegger die Stücke für sie aufschreiben konnte. Vetter von HC, Alfred Gysi (war in jungen Jahren als Hauslehrer in Russland, spielte auch Balalaika), kaufte 1912 vom Organisten Ludwig Garbeli altes Hackbrett in Ulrichen, und jetzt ist es bei HC., 1960 stellte es Marcel Tschopp instand gestellt und gespielt und HC machte Aufnahme davon, aber Stimmung hielt nicht und Saiten sind rostig. Treffen mit Musikanten am Sonntag, zwischen Prozession und Zeit, wenn die Informanten in den Stall mussten. HC beschreibt Stimmung und Wetter. Nach Unterbruch, kam HC im Januar 1955 wieder zu ihren Spielmannen für Aufnahmen bei Imfelds in der Stube in Ulrichen. Sie spielten ohne Takt mit Fuss angeben zu müssen. HC bedauert, dass niemand vom Radio da war. Sie sagt: "Darf ich das allei erläbe, das letschte Klinge und Töne, die Husmusig in euse Bärge ... si mer doch z'spoht". Vrene Battisch Blatter kann nicht nach Brig, weil Hans Spielmann und Tony Imfeld nicht kamen. Frau Garbeli hatte Unfall und musste ins Spital als HC 1957 bei ihr war. Es fiel HC schwer, vom Tal Abschied nehmen, wo sie während 9 Jahren "helfen" wollte. Am Silvester 1958 kommt Gruss von Vrene Battist Blatter (datiert 26.12.58): Frau Garbeli im Okober 1957 gestorben, alte Tänzli seien jetzt im Papierkorb bei Radio Bern. | Riassunto | Josefine erzählt von früher, als Marieli dem Vater zuschaute und versuchte nachzuspielen, Harmonium und Hackbrett. Hanny Christen animiert Marie, auch etwas über ihre lustigen Erlebnisse zu erzählen. Sie rezitiert die Verse: "S'Gadertürli offe, s'Gadertürli zue, gäll i ha di troffe, gäll du bisch e Chue" und "Mis Schätzli isch chli, das muess es doch si, i chäuf roti Bändel und bind es da dri, i chäuf roti Bändel und bind es dazüe, dänn mag mer kei frömde Schmarotzer derzue". Das kannte der Spielmann Hannes. HC fragt, ob die beiden Frauen jetzt nicht singen könnten. Josefine erzählt darauf, wie der Vater ihr von Münster Bonbons brachte. HC möchte aber wissen, was er erzählt hat, als er heimkam, und ob der Mutter Imboden mit dem Mutter Sepp verwandt sei. Letzteres wird verneint. Die beiden Frauen gehen aber nicht sehr auf HCs Fragen ein und beginnen zu gähnen. Sie fragt, ob er vom starken Baschi von Geschinen erzählt habe und fragt was dessen Geschlechtsnahme sei: Wäger Baschi. HC fragt nach den Senggen, die in Gletsch als Hirten arbeiten und Musik machen und wie sie die finden kann. Die Frauen versuchen es zu erklären. Rudolf Senggen spielt Handorgel. War an Fasnacht mit angestrichenen Wangen im Zug und HC hat ihn da getroffen und er hat Handorgel gespielt. HC fragt nach dem anderen in Obergesteln: 60jähriger Geiger Emil Miller. Weiter fragt sie nach dem Klarinettler Lukas Blatter und wie dieser hier genannt werde: Grete Tunisch Lukas. HC will wissen, was Tunisch heisst, bekommt aber keine Erklärung. Sie sagt wie schwer es sei, die Leute im Dorf zu finden; es brauchte so lange bis sie den Onkel der beiden, den Flötenspieler Vincents Gregor fand. HC beklagt sich, dass man einander nicht hilft, denn so komme sie oft erst zu spät zu ihren Informanten. Dann will sie auch noch etwas über die Kreuzers wissen. |
