Summary	Eben noch hat sich Allmen International über die erfolgreiche Wiederbeschaffung des wertvollen Dahlienbildes gefreut, da verschwindet Carlos Lebensgefährtin María Moreno. Kein Liebesstreit, wie Allmens Faktotum erst vermutet hat, sondern die brutale Revanche derer, die sich ihrerseits beraubt fühlen. María gegen das Dahlienbild - so lautet die Forderung der Ganoven. Doch sie haben ihre Rechnung ohne die alte Dalia Gutbauer gemacht. Denn die ist nicht bereit, das Bild wieder herauszurücken, und hat ihre eigenen Vorstellungen, was mit ihm geschehen soll. Damit bringt sie Allmen und Carlos und natürlich María in eine äusserst prekäre Situation. Handeln tut not, und in einem dramatischen Wettlauf gegen die Zeit gibt jeder sein Bestes.
