Copyright and rules of citation

General guidelines

According to Art.9 and following of the Law on Copyright (LDA), the copyright on the content published on the www.fonoteca.ch website, are reserved to the Swiss national sound archives (FN).
All contents of the website of the FN are available to the public for purposes of study, teaching, research, or personal information, while respecting the rules of citation.
The publication, distribution, adaptation, and translation (in full or partial) of the pages, data, or any other part of the website of the FN (texts, images, sound, and video files) requires the express consent of the FN.
FN-Base is the database of the Swiss national sound archives, and is protected by copyright. Users of FN-Base may reproduce a single copy of any record retrieved online, provided such copy is used solely for private study, teaching, research, or personal information. Under no circumstances may users store any records electronically with the purpose of resale, redistribution, or publishing in a different form.

Hyperlink (link)

The creation of hyperlinks to the website of the FN is not only allowed rather encouraged. The FN disclaims any responsibility for the content of websites linked through a hyperlink external to its own circuit.
