Die Österreichische Mediathek ist eine Außenstelle des Technischen Museums Wien. Unser audiovisuelles Archiv enthält 1 Million Tonaufnahmen und Videos zur österreichischen Kultur- und Zeitgeschichte.

Phonogrammarchiv

Das Phonogrammarchiv, ein Institut der österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, ist das älteste Schallarchiv der Welt. Seit September 2001 umfaßt der Tätigkeitsbereich des Phonogrammarchivs auch die Archivierung und Bewahrung videographischer Forschungsdokumente.

Kansallinen äänitearkisto (Kansalliskirjasto)

Musiikkikirjaston yhteydessä toimiva Kansallinen äänitearkisto on maan laajin julkinen äänitearkisto. Arkiston laajuus on noin 150 000 äänitettä. Siihen on koottu suurin osa suomalaisista äänitejulkaisuista 1901 alkaen.

Suomen Äänitearkisto

Suomen äänitearkisto ry on vuonna 1966 perustettu yhdistys, jonka tarkoituksena on kerätä kaikki ennen vapaakappalelakia (1981) julkaistut suomalaiset äänitteet ja muodostua toistaiseksi Suomesta puuttuvaksi kansalliseksi äänitearkistoksi. Yhdistys on julkaissut lukuisia äänilevyluetteloita ja äänilevyhistoriallisia julkaisuja.

Bibliothèque Nationale de France - Département de l'Audiovisuel

Avec plus d'un million de pièces, représentant toute l'histoire des techniques d'enregistrement et de reproduction du son, les documents sonores constituent la collection la plus conséquente du département de l'Audiovisuel, et l'une des plus importantes au monde.

Institut National de l'Audiovisuelle (France)

L'Institut national de l'audiovisuel est un Etablissement Public à caractère Industriel et Commercial (EPIC), créé par la réforme de l'audiovisuel menée en 1974 et mis en place le 6 janvier 1975.

Deutsches Musikarchiv (DMA)

Das Deutsche Musikarchiv in Berlin ist die zentrale Sammlung von Musikalien und Tonträgern und das musikbibliografische Informationszentrum Deutschlands. 1970 gegründet und der Deutschen Bibliothek Frankfurt am Main als Abteilung angegliedert, setzt es die Tätigkeiten der Deutschen Musik-Phonothek (1961 - 1969) fort.

Deutsches Rundfunkarchiv (DRA)

Das Deutsche Rundfunkarchiv ist eine gemeinnützige Stiftung bürgerlichen Rechts. Stifter sind die in der ARD zusammengeschlossenen öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten Deutschlands.

Klaus-Kuhnke-Institut für Populäre Musik

Ein Präsenzarchiv, das zugänglich ist für die "musikpädagogisch und musikwissenschaftlich interessierte Öffentlichkeit''. Es enthält Sammlungen u.a. von Klaus Kuhnke, Manfred Miller, Peter Schulze und Ingolf Wachler aus allen Gebieten Populärer Musik.

British Library Sound Archive

Welcome to the British Library Sound Archive, one of the largest sound archives in the world. Opened in 1955 as the British Institute of Recorded Sound, it became part of the British Library in 1983.

Istituto centrale per i beni sonori e audiovisivi (ICBSA)

L'ICBSA, subentrata alla Discoteca di Stato dal 2008, ha il compito di documentare, valorizzare e conservare il patrimonio sonoro e audiovisivo nazionale. Il suo patrimonioo è composto attualmente da oltre 300.000 supporti sonori:
cilindri di cera, fili metallici, dischi, nastri, compact disc, videocassette, dvd, pervenuti tramite deposito legale, acquisto, registrazione di manifestazioni culturali promosse dall'ICBSA o da altri istituti, donazioni e convenzioni.

Norsk Lydinstitutt Stavanger

Stiftelsen Norsk Lydinstitutt Stavanger ble opprettet i 1984 gjennom en avtale mellom Stavanger kommune og Arne Dørumsgaard. Samlingen er en av Europas største private samlinger.

Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid

Het Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid is het media-archief van Nederland en de grootste van zijn soort in Europa. Het Instituut speelt een toonaangevende rol op het gebied van beheer en toegankelijk maken van het Nederlandse media-erfgoed.

The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision

The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision is a cultural-historical organization of national interest. It collects, preserves and opens the audiovisual heritage for as many users as possible: media professionals, education, science and the general public. In addition, the institute develops and disseminates knowledge in the area of audiovisual archiving, digitization and media history.

Phonogrammarchiv der Universität Zürich

Die Aufgaben umfassen das Sammeln, Dokumentieren, Auswerten und Publizieren von Tonaufnahmen in allen Schweizer Dialekten in den vier Landessprachen. Dazu gehören neben den Deutschschweizer Dialekten, die französischen Patois, die lombardischen Dialekte des Tessins und der Bündner Südtäler und die rätoromanischen Dialekte Graubündens.

International Library of African Music

The International Library of African Music (ILAM) was founded by Hugh Tracey (1903-1977) in 1954 at the apex of 25 years of field recording and research into African music.

National Film, Video and Sound Archives (NFVSA)

NFVSA is a sub-directorate of the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa, located in Pretoria. State generated material is transferred periodically in terms of the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa Act (No 43 of 1996). However, the NFVSA has a broad mandate to collect audio-visual and related material which was made in or about South Africa. Material is mainly donated by the film, video and sound industry, as well as private persons.

The Audiovisual Archives Division in the National Archives of Singapore (AVA)

AVA collects, documents, preserves and disseminates film, video and sound recordings of national and historical significance from public offices, broadcasting stations, educational institutions, private organizations and individuals.

National Film and Sound Archive, Australia

The work that the National Film and Sound Archive undertakes dates back to the National Historical Film and Speaking Record Library (part of the then Commonwealth National Library), which was established by a Cabinet decision on 11 December 1935. The National Film and Sound Archive was created as a separate Commonwealth collecting institution in 1984.

Sound Archives/Nga Taonga Korero

Sound Archives/Nga Taonga Korero is New Zealand's only specialist archive of contemporary and historical radio programmes, responsible for managing, collecting, preserving and providing access to the nation's recorded radio heritage. The Nga Taonga Korero collections have a Maori focus, whilst the Sound Archives in Christchurch collections hold a broad range of recordings.
