IncontriJazz in Fonoteca

IncontriJazz in Fonoteca is a collaborative project of the National Sound Archives and IncontriJazz, a venture supported by Smum (Scuola di Musica Moderna) and the Dicastero Giovani ed Eventi, a department of the City of Lugano.

In 2009, after having focused on Italian-speaking Switzerland in the years 2004 to 2008, IncontriJazz launched its presence on the website of the Swiss National Sound Archives with a research project about the birth of the Orchestra Radiosa in 1940, starting with an interview with Angelo Parini, the orchestra's very young trumpet-player seventy years ago. The result is an experimental page about Radio Monte Cenere's dance and entertainment orchestra, annotated with photographs, set in a special chronological and historical framework.

Radioprogramma

In 2010, in cooperation with Romano Nardelli, Head of the jazz section at the Swiss National Sound Archives, IncontriJazz re-directed its programme, broadening its scope from the regional Swiss-Italian scale to the national scale.
